Deepening Your Search
A Note from Peter:
I am often asked the question, “Who are your teachers?”
In my life I have been inspired by two teachers that I refer to as masters: B.K.S. Iyengar and G. I. Gurdjieff.
Mr. Iyengar refers to Yoga, his life teaching, as a journey to wholeness, inner peace and ultimate freedom. He refers it as an awakening that even raw beginners feel something special is happening to them from the inside. Students of Gurdjieff similarly describe his work as the potential for inner peace, a way of achieving inner unity and growth. My experiences in their studies have born this to be true. Both offer very challenging work. Both studies are much more than just reading a book, as they require total involvement. And both can be very rewarding.
We in Sandpoint are fortunate to have a Gurdjieff group in the area consisting of seekers who are honoring the work of this master philosopher. I hope you have the time and interest to check it out.
