Yoga and Your Spiritual Practice with Jody Pignolet
Four Week Series
January 12 - February 2
Saturdays, 9:00 am - 10:30 am
For ancient yogis, yoga was not considered a form of exercise but a way to unite the body, mind and spirit for the purpose of experiencing the higher realms of consciousness - the divine. It was THE way to connect with their true spiritual nature. While modern yoga offers tremendous benefits for the body and mind, it's easy to overlook that yoga is, at its roots, a spiritual practice. In these 4 classes we will explore ways in which yoga facilitates a deeper connection to one's own spirit as well as to the universal consciousness, and how you can apply these ideas to your own unique practice.
Jody Pignolet has a deep appreciation and love for the power of yoga to reunite one’s body, mind and spirit after the busyness of everyday life. And she just finds it fun! She received her 200-hour certification in Greece, in Transformational Hatha Yoga. Jody has also worked with a local non-profit organization bringing yoga to teens through the school system and the Juvenile Justice Center. As a member of the Gypsy Divas Dance Troupe, she gets to enjoy the benefits of movement through dance as well.
