Core Fusion Workout
Join us for an exhilarating class focusing on the health of the whole body. In this class Cindy and I will utilize multi-disciplines to create a new paradigm in the body that promotes flexibility, strength, grace, toning and core building. The work sculpts the body and adds health to the myo-fascial sheaths. Dynamic Fusion workouts will cross train with stability balls, pilate rings, light kettle bells, principles of martial arts, yoga and pilates. We focus on the entire body, work from the simple to the dynamic. No practice is the same. Feel great and stand tall.
Forrest Yoga descends from the lineage of Hatha yoga which focuses on asana (physical poses) and deep intentional breathing. Physically, Forrest yoga has a unique way of bringing awareness and profound release to the overtaxed muscles of the neck and shoulders. With abdominal strengthening exercises and specific asana sequencing this style of yoga creates an internal warmth in the muscles, allowing for greater pliability and reducing the chance of injury within the asana and our daily activities.
A slower moving asana class for both those new to yoga and also more experienced yogic practitioners with physical challenges. Special emphasis on using yogic philosophy to develop a more gentle and compassionate relationship with our bodies. You will find 'gentle' means more ease and more capacity for deepening; it is most challenging.
Hatha Yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in the world. Hatha Yoga uses postures (asana) and conscious breathing (Pranayama) in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength and flexibility, and relaxation. Through proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner.
Intro to Kundalini
Kundalini Yoga practices include: breath (pranayama), movements (kriyas), mantras, sound, mudras, locks and meditation. Come learn Kundalini Yoga Sets and Meditations as taught by Yogi Bhajan when this style of yoga was brought to the USA in 1969. “Many of the kriyas are venerable and ancient, having been passed down by word of mouth from a guru, and are therefore sacred and secret. Yogi Bhajan made them available to the public, saying knowledge belongs to everyone!”
Light Yoga Flow
This vinyasa class takes a more relaxed pace to the practice, allowing you to enjoy more the nuances of the poses. All levels welcome.
Power Vinyasa is an invigorating and dynamic flow style of yoga. It combines sequences that build strength, stamina, flexibility, presence and concentration. There is an emphasis on upper body and core strength and an intention to create balance between mind, body and soul so that you leave feeling centered and able to move throughout the day from that place. Classes will be between 80 and 85 degrees.
This is a basic class introducing the fundamental principles of yoga; postures; breathing techniques; and philosophy. Principles of alignment are introduced and how to move correctly in our bodies; hearts, and minds. Develop strength, flexibility, and skills in how to live life more fully.
