Peter Mico

Peter Mico has been a student of yoga since 1995. While spending the first five years of his practice healing various ailments and injuries to his body Peter learned the practice of Hatha yoga; specifically from the lineage of Iyengar yoga. This was the beginning of Peter’s extensive yoga training path. In 2000 he began a long term study with Rodney Yee, an Iyengar senior teacher. He was drawn to Rodney’s casual teaching style and effective methods of mixing metaphor, philosophy and anatomy while appropriately incorporating humor into the teaching. Peter then attended Rodney’s Advanced Teacher Training in Northampton Ma. He has also studied with Manouso Manos in San Francisco and Patricia Walden in Estes Park CO. In 2006 he began his 500 hours yoga training and studies with Tias Little of the Prajna Yoga Studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Peter remains an active member of the Prajna Yoga Sangha and attends Tias’s workshops around the country. In 2011 he received his teachers certification in Garuda fitness with James D’Silva in Toronto Canada. James D’Silva created the Garuda system of body conditioning using yoga, pilates, dance and reformer workouts. James’ techniques are uniquely qualified in working with the body’s myafascial systems, which is of particular interest to Peter’s work in Yoga therapy.
Peter Mico is owner and currently on the teaching staff at Downtown Yoga in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Linda Ries R.Y.T has studied and taught yoga for 25 years and owned and directed The Sandpoint Yoga Studio for twelve of those years. Linda has a eclectic approach to her teaching style. On transformation: "I've watched it happen again and again people come to yoga in search of more flexibility or strength. Which they gain, of course. But then something else happens. They develop a passion -- and begin to step into a life of greater joy, connection, and courage. Yoga can be a doorway to that."
On practicing: When you ask Linda about the benefits of yoga, she laughs, "How much time do you have? Vitality, energy and flexibility, of course. But yoga is also the gateway to a richer, fuller, more authentic life."

Sarah Rusnak

I am a
yoga teacher, mother and self-care evangelist. I teach people how to
find balance in their day to day living. Along the way we learn to love
being in our own skin. We use yoga as a tool to keep our body, mind and
soul evolving in health. We develop practical skills to refine the ART
of self-care. Together we travel from being "too-busy-to-have-balance"
towards a supple, strong YOU that lives and ages with grace. Yoga has
been my dear friend for over 20 years. I've trained extensively with
master teacher Ana Forrest and have been sharing the wisdom of yoga with
others since 2006. I am committed to studying the human body, how we
take in nutrients and let go of the old. It is my aim to generously
offer what I learn to our community in a down-to-earth way.
