hatha yoga
Hatha Yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in the world. Hatha Yoga uses postures (asana) and conscious breathing (Pranayama) in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength and flexibility, and relaxation. Through proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner.

This is a basic class introducing the fundamental principles of yoga; postures; breathing techniques; and philosophy. Principles of alignment are introduced and how to move correctly in our bodies; hearts, and minds. Develop strength, flexibility, and skills in how to live life more fully.
Yin Yoga for the Chakras
Yin, the feminine principle: dark, passive, receptive, reflective, withdrawn, cool, introspective. Yin yoga was developed to penetrate deep into connective tissue expanding flexibility and aiding healing while stimulating the nadis, or meridians, to loosen energetic blockages and increase energy flow.
In this class we will use Yin Yoga to liberate the chakras and create new promise in the energy body.

Belly Dancing - Level 1
This class will cover all the basics of ATS® including posture, formations, the four basic fast moves and slow moves, as well as moving into the fun moves that help you practice the four basics, and practice concepts beyond the basics for those who have done Level 1 multiples time. Enjoy an extended warm up, instructions on moves and concepts, and more drilling time in this 1.5 hour class. This class is great for both beginners and anyone wanting to deepen their knowledge of the basics - & beyond!
What is ATS®: American Tribal Style® dance is a modern style of belly dance created by the FatChanceBellyDance® director, Carolena Nericcio-Bohlman. ATS® is inspired by many traditional forms of dance, but sets itself apart by being a completely improvisational style of group dance - focusing on an uplifted posture, dynamic formations, common moves, and visual cues to make a successful, improvisational performance.
